Terms & Conditions

1. What This Service Is
zapmail ("the service") is a free, receive-only disposable email service operated as a hobby/small-scale project, not a registered company. Anyone can generate an address at zapmail.store and receive email sent to it — no account, signup, or payment is required.
The service cannot send email. It is built for receiving one-time passcodes, verification links, and similar single-purpose messages, not as a replacement for a personal or business inbox.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use this service. By using zapmail you represent that you meet this requirement.
The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly allow children under that age to create or use a mailbox.
3. Lawful Use Only
This platform is provided solely for lawful and legitimate purposes. By creating or using a mailbox, you agree not to use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized activity.
4. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for how you use the service and for any email account you create through it, including all messages sent to or accessed through that account.
You agree to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws in connection with your use of the service.
You are responsible for keeping the secret token issued when you create a mailbox safe. There is no password-reset flow: if a token is lost or exposed, that inbox and any account recovery flows tied to it are permanently and irreversibly out of your control.
5. Prohibited Uses
Misuse of the platform is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to: fraud, phishing, spam, harassment, impersonation, copyright or trademark infringement, distribution of malware, circumventing another service's abuse or verification controls, and any other unlawful or abusive activity.
You may not use a zapmail address to register for, or take control of, an account or service that requires verified, recoverable identity — for example banking, government, healthcare, or payment services — since this service offers neither identity verification nor account recovery.
6. Intellectual Property
The zapmail name, logo, and site design are the property of the service operator. The underlying software may draw on open-source components, each governed by its own license.
You retain no ownership rights in the service itself by using it; nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property to you.
7. Service Availability
The service is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. Mail delivery depends on third-party infrastructure (including Cloudflare Email Routing and Supabase) that is outside our direct control, and messages can occasionally be delayed, dropped, or rejected by a sender's mail server.
Do not rely on this service for time-critical or legally significant communications. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including specific mailboxes, at any time and without notice.
8. No Liability
The service, its owner, developers, and operators are not responsible for any illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized activity carried out using the service, and bear no liability for how mailboxes created through it are used.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost messages, missed verification codes, or lost access to a third-party account — arising from use of the service.
The creator of an email account bears full legal responsibility for all actions performed using that account.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the service operator from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or your violation of these terms.
10. Suspension & Termination
The service reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any mailbox, without notice, if abuse or illegal activity is detected or reasonably suspected, or to protect the stability of the service for other users.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by generally applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from use of the service should first be raised informally with the operator before pursuing formal action.
12. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
