Addresses never expire
Most disposable-email services generate a random address that dies after a session or a few minutes. zapmail's addresses are stored permanently and stay reachable indefinitely, so you can reuse the same one across multiple signups without it going dead on you.
Token-protected inbox, not a guessable one
A lot of "public" temp-mail inboxes are readable by anyone who types the same address. zapmail separates the address from access: reading an inbox requires the secret token issued at creation, so the address can be public-ish while the inbox itself isn't.
Real-time delivery
New messages are pushed to an open inbox tab over a live connection the moment they arrive — there's no polling interval to wait out when you're staring at a signup form for a verification code.
Deliverable on a real domain
Because zapmail sends to a genuine, DNS-configured mail domain rather than one of the widely-known disposable-email domains that many signup forms explicitly blocklist, messages generally arrive without being rejected outright.
No signup, ever
Creating a mailbox needs nothing but the local-part you want — no name, phone number, CAPTCHA-gated account, or payment method. The token you're issued is your only proof of ownership.
Automatic message expiry
Message content is deleted 7 days after it arrives, on a fixed daily schedule — by design, not as a storage-cost afterthought. This bounds how long any given piece of mail is exposed if a token were ever leaked.
